Laura Stender

Laura Stender is beginning her 10th year of teaching here at St. John’s. She graduated from Concordia University, St. Paul in 2008 and received her first call to St. John’s, Chaska. She taught 1st grade her first year, which followed with a move to the 2nd grade classroom, where she has been ever since. Over the years, Laura has been involved with referring grade school volleyball games and coaching 7th/8th grade volleyball. She has served on school board as well as the school growth committee. Laura has volunteered her time selling Scrip, been a member of PTL board, helped with various junior high activities and spent time in the church nursery. Laura and her husband Joel have been married for six years and blessed with two daughters, Evelyn (3) and Josie (3 months). In her spare time Laura enjoys being a mom, spending time with family and friends, playing/watching sports and gardening. laura.stender@stjohns-chaska.org
